Arnett Gardens drub Spanish Town Police 10-2 in JPL

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Rushike Kelson scored a hat-trick and Fabian Reid bagged a brace, both coming off the bench in the second half, as Arnett Gardens crushed Spanish Town Police 10-2 in their Jamaica Premier League game played at Drewsland Stadium on Wednesday.

Arnett Gardens’ tally was the most goals scored in one game in the JPL in years and it took their goal-difference from minus three (12-15) to plus five (22-17) and pushed them into sixth place in the points table with 12 points, the same as seventh-place Waterhouse.

It was the 11th game for the promoted Spanish Town Police FC who are in last place on two points and have conceded 33 goals.

Kelson, who came into the game at the start of the second half, scored inside the first minute and added goals in the 72nd and 80th minutes.

Reid scored in the 68th and 89th minutes, while two other players, Giovanni Taylor and Roderick Granville, also scored doubles.

Jaheim Thomas was the other Arnett Gardens player to score in the game, while Jordan Ellison, who came off the bench for Spanish Town Police, scored a double, in the 69th and 89th minutes.

In the other game played on Wednesday, Racing United and Chapelton Maroons ended in a 0-0 draw.
