The National Environment and Planning Agency (NEPA) will host its 10th informative and engaging Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Student Sensitisation Session on Thursday, February 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The virtual session is designed for fourth- and fifth-form students preparing to sit the CSEC Geography examination and will provide guidance on completing their school-based assessment (SBA) paper.
It will also serve to sensitise students and teachers to the resources available at NEPA, while fostering an appreciation of the interrelationship between the natural and human environments.
Topics to be covered are drawn directly from the CSEC Geography syllabus and include Pollution, Coral Reefs, Mangroves and Water Quality.
A communiqué from the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth and Information stated that past participants have praised the initiative as a valuable tool in exam preparation, noting its relevance and practical support.
NEPA has underscored the importance of partnership in preserving the environment and encourages school administrators to facilitate the participation of both students and teachers in this year’s sensitisation session.
The agency remains committed to ensuring that more students benefit from the experience, which continues to be delivered in a webinar format.
Registration can be completed at iteneri.com/seminar2026.
NEPA also reminds students and teachers that previously broadcast sessions remain available for viewing on its YouTube channel, nepajamaica.
The session will also be uploaded to ensure continued access for all, particularly given the disruption caused by Hurricane Melissa.
