Dancehall artiste Jah Peeks is hoping to strike the right chord with music lovers through his new single, Can You Love Me, a heartfelt collaboration with Simply Rattigan.
The song, produced by Eye 4 Entertainment, was officially released on February 5, and has already been generating positive reactions from fans who appreciate authentic Jamaican music and relatable lyrics. The addition of Simply Rattigan to Can You Love Me gives the track added melody and emotional depth, making it a song centred on love, sincerity and connection.
Hailing from Mango Valley, St Mary, Jah Peeks said music has always been a natural outlet for his emotions and creativity.
“I love art, and when I discovered that I could sing, I started expressing my feelings through music,” he said. “Listening to other artistes also gave me the confidence to believe that I could do it too.”
Jah Peeks credits acts such as Tarrus Riley, Jr Gong, Shaggy, Sean Paul, Garnett Silk, Bounty Killer and Spragga Benz as some of his musical influences. According to the artiste, he is focused on bringing his own unique sound while building on the rich legacy of reggae and dancehall. Although he only began pursuing music seriously in 2021, Jah Peeks has been involved in the artform since age 16. Over the years, he has sharpened his craft while working with several producers and labels, including Eye 4 Entertainment, Do Di Right Thing Recording Label, and Music House Entertainment in Boston.
