Brampton Primary School in Trelawny has received a donation of six desks and chairs and footballs from Florida-based company, Themis Mortgage.

The items were officially handed over during a ceremony held at the school on Thursday (March 19).

In an interview with JIS News, President of Themis Mortgage, Chris Perry, said the donation was part of ongoing assistance to the educational institution.

“We did a back-to-school event this past year to provide all the school supplies for the kids here and we’ve returned here now in the spring, and we provided chairs and new desks for the teachers,” he noted.

He said that the organisation intends to maintain its partnership with the institution and expand its support.

“Our goal is to keep providing more support here in Jamaica as we find success in Florida with our business,” Mr. Perry said.

He told JIS News that Themis Mortgage is exploring additional ways to assist the school, particularly in addressing some of the infrastructure challenges.

Acting Principal of Brampton Primary, Monica McBean, expressed gratitude for the contribution, particularly the furniture for the teaching staff.

She noted that the school welcomes the pledge of continued support from Themis Mortgage.
