Dancehall artiste Armanii has been making waves on the international stage, appearing on major global platforms and live showcases, including Billboard‘s Hip-Hop/R&B Live.
He continued his rise with the release of his debut studio-length album Impact last December, earning recognition as Billboard‘s first Caribbean Rookie of the Month for February. But, despite his accolades, Armanii said that his mission has always been bigger than personal success.
“It feels good to get the recognition, but for me it’s bigger than that,” he told THE STAR in an interview. “A Jamaica mi represent; a dancehall mi represent. Everywhere mi go, mi carry the culture wid me.”
Feeling the love from both Jamaica and beyond, Armanii kept it real about what the support means to him.
“Mi appreciate all the love — from Jamaica and overseas. It show seh the music a reach people and connect, and that’s what it’s all about. Mi just want keep building and making the fans proud,” he said.
The entertainer also has his eyes set firmly on the future, with a clear vision for what he wants his career to become.
“In the next five years, I will be one of the biggest names in dancehall globally,” he said confidently. “Mi want consistency, hit songs, sold-out shows… just growth all around. Mi nah put no limit pon it.”
Building on the momentum of his growing recognition, Armanii will make a quick stop back home to perform at Pic-Nic Beach Club, one of the events a part of the Vacae Weekend 2026 lineup. Known for its vibrant aesthetic and high-energy daytime vibe, Pic-Nic is expected to attract a stylish, youthful crowd — and Armanii said he’s ready to deliver, especially for his female fans.
“Pic-Nic a one of those events weh the vibe [just] different,” he said, laughing. “The ladies dem turn up, so you know seh mi haffi come out and perform fi dem properly.”
Pic-Nic, known for its signature pink theme and lively entertainment lineup, is among the standout events of Easter weekend, and Armanii is set to take the stage. In fact, according to event organiser Franz Kentish, with Armanii’s impact, it was a no-brainer to have him as a headlining act.
“Armanii has been doing amazing things for dancehall both in Jamaica and overseas in the US. And with the successful performance Stalk Ashley delivered at last year’s staging, it only made sense we kept the expectations high with another world-class entertainer,” he said.
