Sevana is promising a steady slate of releases heading into next year.
The singer-songwriter spoke with THE STAR at an intimate house party-style gathering for the release of her newest single Jeans an Marina, held on Friday at Cherry Drive Estates, where friends, industry players and supporters came out to mark the latest chapter in her musical journey.
Officially released last Wednesday, Jeans an Marina provided the soundtrack for the event, with guests enjoying drinks, games, conversations and plenty of dancing. Staying true to the song’s title, attendees also embraced the theme through their outfits.
While she remained tight-lipped about whether fans could expect an EP or full-length album, she revealed that she has plans to keep the music coming.
“You have to watch and see,” she teased. “But what I will say is that there will be a single almost every month or every other month into next year.”
Rather than revealing exactly what those releases will build towards, Sevana is choosing to let the music tell the story.
“So, we’re building up to something. I’m not going to tell you what it is yet, but something is coming. Something is coming,” she said.
And it appears fans will have plenty of opportunities to experience that music live. Sevana is set to head to New York for a performance, followed by promotional activities in Atlanta. She will also make an appearance on the Welcome to Jamrock Cruise, while teasing a special opening slot for a “very, very legendary” international act. Beyond those immediate engagements, the singer confirmed that a more extensive touring schedule is also in the works.
“Absolutely. Full-blown touring into next year,” she said, while stopping short of revealing specific dates.
Speaking about the Teflon Zincfence-produced Jeans an Marina, Sevana said the track came naturally to her.
“It fits perfectly. I mean, it’s who I am,” she said when asked how the song fits into her musical identity. “It’s lyrics that came naturally when I was writing to the beat. So, it’s authentic to me.”
That sense of authenticity has become an important part of Sevana’s musical expression, with the singer pointing to the easy, feel-good energy of previous material such as Mango as another example of music that naturally reflects her.
“It’s just a vibe,” she said.
Music is not Sevana’s only creative focus. As she looks ahead to the remainder of 2026 and into 2027, the singer is also deepening her involvement in acting. She is touring the United States with the feature film Threads of Us, a Jamaican love story in which she stars.
