After experiencing the electric energy and unmistakable style of Miami’s South Beach during Memorial Day weekend, Pool Cooler Fête (PCF) promoters Curtis Hyatt, Sean Davis and Lorenzo Thomas want to bring a taste of it to Jamaica.
That idea becomes reality on October 16, when PCF: South Beach takes over Caymanas Golf & Country Club in St Catherine for the event brand’s 10th anniversary and the opening night of Greatness Weekend 2026.
The milestone staging promises to give the familiar PCF experience a fresh look, drawing on South Beach’s fashion, visual style and lifestyle while keeping the Jamaican flavour that has helped the event build a loyal following.
“When we started PCF, most people were going to clubs and dances, and we wanted to offer something outside of that usual setting,” Hyatt said. “We live in a tropical country, so why not make use of the outdoors? Ten years later, we were in Miami for Memorial Weekend, experiencing South Beach, and the thought came to us again: why not bring some of that experience home? This anniversary is about giving Jamaica South Beach, but with a Jamaican twist.”
PCF first hit the scene in 2016 at the Olympia Crown Hotel, at a time when much of Kingston’s nightlife revolved around nightclubs and traditional dances.
The promoters saw an opportunity to take advantage of Jamaica’s tropical climate and move the party outdoors.
A decade later, that gamble has paid off.
PCF has evolved into a twice-yearly fixture on Jamaica’s entertainment calendar, drawing crowds with its combination of poolside partying, music, fashion and celebrity appearances. Its food offering has also expanded, adding another layer to the experience.
For its anniversary edition on Friday, October 16, PCF will draw inspiration from South Beach without attempting to recreate Miami at Caymanas. Instead, the promoters will blend the destination’s signature style and lifestyle with a distinctly Jamaican flavour as PCF celebrates a decade of poolside partying and gives patrons a taste of South Beach.
The weekend’s activities will continue with RECALL Straight Jeans & Fitted on the Saturday, and then CUPS Château Blanc, on Sunday, October 18.
The final event, the Greatness Pink & White Brunch, takes place on Heroes Day, Monday, October 19, offering another premium food-inclusive experience.
