National footballer Shaniel Buckley has been named the US Junior College Player of the Year for 2025 after scoring 23 goals with 10 assists.
The midfielder/forward also earned the NJCAA Tournament MVP and Offensive MVP awards.
Buckley, who is wrapping up studies at Daytona State College, is heading to Florida State University (FSU) this fall.
The Seminoles, former school of another Reggae Girl, Jody Brown, are the reigning NCAA Division 1 national champions, having won their fifth title last fall.
The 20-year-old former Excelsior High School standout, who has represented the Reggae Girlz from the youth level, has 11 caps and two goals at the senior level.
She last represented Jamaica in November during the Concacaf World Cup qualifiers, coming off the bench to score two goals in the Reggae Girlz 18-nil thumping of Dominica.
