Non-stop entertainment, bold decor and high-energy vibes are just a few of the promises coming from the team at Twenty14 Ltd as they prepare to deliver one of the highly anticipated events at Vacae Weekend 2026.
Known for its daring concept and late-night appeal, Risque has carved out its own lane in Jamaica’s ever-expanding party scene. But in an already packed entertainment space, some have questioned whether pajama and lingerie-themed parties have a place.
“Absolutely they have a place,” assured David Matthie, director at Twenty14 Ltd.
“People want something different. They want something that feels exciting, immersive… something that breaks the routine. So, we made Risque to be all about confidence, energy and creating a space where people can express themselves freely,” he told THE STAR.
“I think a lot of organisers don’t know how to bring across the idea of a lingerie and pajama party in a way that the patrons can understand and relate to. And so, sometimes the fans don’t get a chance to really enjoy everything an experience like it could have to offer,” Matthie added.
If the concept wasn’t enough, the organisers announced that this year’s staging will be headlined by international hip-hop star Fabolous — marking his first performance in Jamaica since 2012.
“We are super excited to have Fabolous with us, back in Jamaica after 14 years. And if you know Fab, you know he is someone who is tapped into the fashion culture and scene and he is tapped into the hardcore music scene,” Matthie explained.
“So as much as Risque is for the ladies, it is also hardcore, and Fabolous has done an exceptional job of blending the two together throughout this career, and I know our audience is looking forward to that.”
Set inside Plantation Cove in Ocho Rios, St Ann, Risque forms part of the larger Vacae Weekend series, which will run from April 3 to 6. The series continues to draw both local and international partygoers looking for a high-end Easter escape.
