Olympic and World Championship silver medallist Kishane Thompson and World Championship relay silver medallist Tia Clayton won the 60m dash events at the Puma JAAA Fuller-Anderson Development Meet at the GC Foster College on Saturday.

Thomspon of MVP, running from lane five, looked powerful and sped to 6.52 (+2.8 mps), holding off Odaine McPherson of Sprintec in 6.53. World Championship 200m bronze medallist Bryan Levell of Uptimum Track Club was just behind in third spot with 6.54 seconds.

World Indoor 60m bronze medallist Ackeem Blake of Dynamic Track was beaten into third spot in his heat in 6.70. The race was won by MVP’s Nishon Ebanks in 6.61 with his teammate Rohan Eatson second in 6.63 seconds.

Earlier, Tia Clayton led from gun to tape, winning the women’s section in a personal best 7.02 (+1.2 mps), lowering her previous best of 7.14. Her clubmate Jonielle Smith chased her all the way and was second in a personal best of 7.06.

Natasha Morrison, who entered the race with the fastest time of 7.09 seconds, was third in 7.21, just ahead of Trinidad and Tobago’s Shaniqua Bascome of Uptimum in a personal best 7.22.

The powerful Theianna Lee Terrelonge, formerly of Edwin Allen High School and now at Uptimum, won Section B in 7.23 and was sixth fastest overall, ahead of Krystel Sloley of Utech with 7.31.
