Riva Bash takes over Pennants River in Clarendon this Friday for a full day-into-night experience that promises more than just a party.
Powered by Magnum Tonic Wine, the iconic riverbed event will once again be transformed into a hub of authentic dancehall energy, this time featuring headliner Skeng, one of dancehall’s hottest firebrands.
“Riva Bash is one of those events that, in its entirety, captures the essence of dancehall,” said Brandon Wallace, brand manager, Magnum Tonic Wine.
Held three times for the year, Riva Bash organisers have, for the past 15 years, cultivated an experience that blends authenticity with top-tier talent and engaging party atmosphere creating a space where patrons can truly unwind and immerse themselves in dancehall culture.
Promoter Shanique Lloyd says the magic of Riva Bash lies in its ability to connect people to both place and culture.
“It’s really about the feeling, the authentic river experience where people come from early to have brunch by the river, play dominoes, and just soak in the ambience before the real excitement,” Lloyd said.
“Over the years, our patrons have asked us to take it even further by including live performances. We’ve done it before, but this April we’re making sure they get a real dancehall treat with Skeng, the kind of performer they’ve been asking for. Skeng is the perfect fit for this staging, and we’re guaranteeing an all-round great experience.”
Known for his commanding presence and a catalogue of hits such as Protocol, Likkle Miss, Shalalala, Street Cred, and London, Skeng has become one of dancehall’s most talked-about and in-demand performers.
Musical support comes from legendary Bass Odyssey and Echo One Sound featuring Fire Wayne, 2023 winners of the Magnum All-Star Soundclash, guaranteeing non-stop vibes from sunup to sunrise.
