Dancehall artiste Malie Donn is poised to make a bold statement with the release of his debut album, The Golden Child, on July 24.
The 20-track project marks a major milestone in the fast-rising entertainer’s career and highlights the sound, ambition, and versatility that have propelled his growing popularity across Jamaica and the diaspora.
Led by the title track Golden Child, featuring Squash, the album delivers a body of work that reflects different chapters of Malie Donn’s journey, blending street narratives, lifestyle anthems, motivational records, and collaborations with some of dancehall’s emerging voices. The project includes Trackstar, featuring Antuwang; Free 6ix Boss, featuring Byron Messia; and Club Lit, featuring Javo Donn. It also boasts fan favourites such as Miami, Holiday, Winning, and Badman Treat.
The album’s striking artwork, which depicts Malie Donn in gold surrounded by outstretched hands, reflects the central themes of elevation, resilience, and achievement.
