Reggae Marathon pays a photo tribute to longtime participant Roy Thomas.

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Fitness enthusiast Roy Thomas, a well-known figure on the local running circuit, has died aged 97.
The Reggae Marathon confirmed Thomas’ passing in Kingston and paid tribute to him in a social media post on Thursday, remembering him as an “inspiration , committed participant and supporter” of the annual event.
Thomas completed the marathon and half marathon events numerous times over the years, according to the post.
“Daddy Roy/ Roy Thomas/ Uncle Roy 1928 – 2025. Gone but never forgotten!” the post read.
