New Reggae Boyz recruit Rico Henry traveled in the 26-man squad to Port of Spain, Trinidad on Tuesday for Jamaica’s FIFA World Cup qualifier against Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday.
Henry, a 28-year-old defender, was provisionally named in the squad while awaiting clearance from the England Football Association (EFA).
Head coach Steve McClaren says Henry arrived in Jamaica to finalise his documents with the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency before travelling with the squad. From there, he will learn on Wednesday whether the EFA will approve his joining the Jamaica squad.’
Henry is one of two defenders in the squad from English Premier League club Brentford, with the other being Ethan Pinnock.
