Dancehall veteran Spragga Benz, given name Carlton Grant, will release Endeavors Reloaded’ on Friday — a newly expanded edition of ‘Endeavors, the album that saw his return to the reggae charts last year.
The 13-track set is executively produced by Spragga Benz and co-produced by Lamar Reynolds. Endeavors Reloaded pairs Spragga Benz with a wide cross-section of Caribbean and international artistes, including Sean Paul, Stonebwoy, Agent Sasco, Tarrus Riley, Sizzla, I Wayne, Bugle, JC Lodge and Echo Minott, spanning dancehall, reggae and Afrobeats. Among the standout cuts is That Drone, a collaboration with reggae icon Cocoa Tea, who died in March 2025 at age 65. The track is one of the last from Cocoa Tea and stands in the tracklist as a tribute to one of the genre’s most beloved voices.
“Reloaded gave me the opportunity to bring the project closer to the vision I had from the beginning. With time, the artistes I originally envisioned were able to contribute, allowing us to polish the music and make it more complete. For me, Reloaded represents growth, greater creative control and the freedom to express the music the way I hear it,” Spragga Benz said.
Endeavors Reloaded builds on the original Endeavors, which arrived on August 29, 2025 and debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Reggae Albums chart. It was Spragga Benz’s first album in six years, reportedly recorded in an intense three-day studio session. The Reloaded edition carries the project into a second chapter, closing with Endeavors 2.0, a solo statement from the artiste that bookends the set.
A pioneering voice in Jamaican dancehall since the early 1990s, Spragga Benz built his catalogue on hits including Could a Deal and Girls Hooray, and reached international audiences with Turn Me On, his collaboration with Kevin Lyttle, which climbed to No. 4 on the US charts and No. 1 in Denmark. He is also known to film audiences for his lead role as Wayne in the cult classic Shottas (2001), alongside credits including Brooklyn Babylon (1999) and Unbelievable (2025). His 2019 album Chiliagon topped Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart. Off stage, he founded the Stay in School programme and the Carlisle Foundation, supporting Jamaican youth.
