Dancehall artistes Teejay and Vanessa Bling are set to deliver top-tier performances at the seventh staging of Allergy, which will be held at the Allergy Sports Complex in Water Works, Westmoreland, on Emancipation Day, August 1.
The annual event will also feature performances from rising acts Magnitude and Rhumba, while entertainment throughout the night will be powered by selectors Macky & Gemini, K9 John & Gott, and DJ Charlie. Hosting duties will be handled by Selfie TV Boss.
According to promoter Henry ‘Allergy Boss’ Harris, the show’s lineup was carefully curated to ensure patrons receive exceptional value while showcasing a blend of established and emerging talent.
“Over the years we have always believed in providing high-level entertainment that gives patrons value for their money. Every year we sit down and brainstorm what’s happening in the music industry, identify artistes we haven’t seen in a while or who have never performed in Westmoreland, and then conduct our surveys,” he said.
“Based on the feedback, we choose the artistes we know will deliver clean, engaging and interactive performances. This year we had to go with the Uptop Boss himself, Teejay, alongside Vanessa Bling to bring that strong female energy to the lineup, while Rhumba and Magnitude represent for the younger generation of dancehall fans.”
Now in its seventh year, Allergy has established itself as one of Westmoreland’s signature entertainment events, attracting patrons from across the parish and beyond with its combination of live performances, music, food and vibrant atmosphere. Beyond the entertainment, Harris believes Allergy offers patrons an authentic cultural experience rooted in community.
“Attending Allergy is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in the dancehall culture of our island home. We offer a community-driven experience that goes beyond tradition, allowing patrons to connect, unwind, relax and enjoy themselves while building camaraderie,” he said.
He added that the event’s unique appeal lies in its complete entertainment package.
“It’s the entire experience—from the high-energy artistes and DJs to the food and the vibes. Every staging, we strive to create an incredible experience, and we always bring the vibes.”
