Dancehall star Kraff has scored another charting song with his latest release Fix Things.
The single, which has been creating a buzz on social media due to what some describe as demonic symbolism, peaked at No. 8 on the USA iTunes Reggae Singles chart. The single debuted at No. 23 within 24 hours of its release before climbing. According to one of the song’s producers, it has the potential to become a mainstream hit.
“The song a do weh it fi do and it’s only been a few days. Our team will be pushing this one in a major way moving forward because we believe in the project and the feedback has been good thus far,” stated Bushead from Bell Bell Entertainment.
The video has many visually captivating scenes, but one of the standout ones features Kraff performing in a ‘ring of fire’ while dressed in a costume which some are suggesting is demonic. In another scene, a girl is seen duct-taped onto a wall as part of what appears to be a ritual. Some specific lines of the song also make repeated reference to ‘sin’ and ‘hell’, which furthers the discussion about whether art should be treated as such and have no boundaries, or if entertainers should be held accountable and therefore censor their content.
Kraff, who is no stranger to controversy, seems unbothered as he is busy recording for several producers and preparing for various bookings. Fix Tingz is produced by Bell Bell Entertainment and Copper Records. It was released on September 20.
